The 1940's
Founded by four brothers, Mamiye began with the efforts of three servicemen from the American Armed Services and a graduate of a leading textile engineering college. The company supplied the U.S. retail market with a variety of textile products including home furnishings and apparel for men, women and children.
The 1950's
The company grew and forged long-term supply chain affiliations with trading companies and manufacturers in Asia as well as a customer base of U.S.-based retailers from coast to coast. The organization developed to focus on servicing the apparel market.
The 1960's
The company continued to expand children’s apparel to become the primary interest of the firm. In the mid-60s, the company moved its office to the Childrenswear Apparel building at 112 West 34th Street in New York City which cemented its commitment to the industry.
The 1970's
While continuing to mature as an apparel leader, Mamiye gained expertise and widespread reputation for quality and fashion. The company opened manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and supplied several of the leading retail chains and department stores around the country.
The 1980's
Fashions and clothing channels changed dramatically during this time but Mamiye Bros. kept pace as a trendsetter and a harbinger of good taste. The company forged partnerships with licensors and retailers and began to be known as a resource for the most desired brands in the marketplace.
The 1990's
Mamiye Bros. grew to a point where the company established multiple divisions, each servicing a particular niche and market. The leadership continued to develop strong relationships with the top licensors, retailers and manufacturers of the period.
